Director – Welsh NHS Confederation
Salary c£100,000
The Director will be responsible for the leadership of the Welsh NHS Confederation and for the planning, management and delivery of its business. The Director will support and work with member organisations in representing the view of the NHS in Wales to a range of stakeholders including Ministers and their Officials, Assembly Members, Local Government and the Third Sector, the media and the public.
The Director will also contribute to the formulation of policy on effective health and social care on a UK wide basis.
The Director is accountable to the management board of the Welsh NHS Confederation and is a member of the Senior Management Group of the NHS Confederation.
The successful applicant will have excellent strategic leadership experience and a thorough understanding of the NHS in Wales. Strong communication is key together with excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
