Where, When and Why?

The Welsh Connection 2007 will take place on the 8th & 9th of November at Cardiff City Hall. The premier event in the Welsh health calendar, this conference brings together top-flight speakers who will inform, challenge, stimulate and entertain. And with delegates drawn from all parts of the health community across Wales and beyond, it also provides an unrivalled opportunity to make contacts old and new. Don't miss it!!

Another must is the Annual Dinner, which is taking place on Thursday the 8th November at the Hilton Hotel Cardiff, with after dinner entertainment provided by Swansea male voice choir

Connecting the NHS and partners in Wales

The Welsh Connection provides the opportunity to network at one time and in one place with senior figures from across the entire health field in Wales, from LHBs and trusts, from the Assembly, local government, and the commercial and voluntary sectors. We extend a special welcome to nonexecutive directors and non-officer members in the NHS, and to our partners in local government and the voluntary and commercial sectors, as the conference can help to connect them with colleagues from across the health field.

Connecting across national boundaries

As a UK-wide organisation the NHS Confederation can plug you into what’s happening outside Wales. This broader perspective is reflected in The Welsh Connection 2007, with speakers who can bring you insights into developments from a range of different countries. It will therefore be an ideal opportunity for learning across boundaries.

Connecting for influence

The Welsh Connection brings together senior decision-makers from all parts of the health field; last year over 90% of the delegates were at board level. It therefore provides delegates with an opportunity to influence the key people from across the health field in Wales. And with our programme allowing time for discussion and comment, it allows delegates to help shape debates about future policy direction
